Nothing could be further from the truth as every word in the Apostle's and Nicene Creeds is derived directly from Holy Scripture. My pastor likes to say that they are like the greeting cards we buy in that they express the faith in well thought out and precise ways. Otherwise, we can start making this stuff up as our feelings dictate or as our whims take us. Sometimes those that do not believe in using creeds say that they are man made.
