Listening to Phillip Cary this morning; he also stated that Paul's references to the law have been misinterpreted. He said that the real issue was not what to do with the Law, but what to do with the Gentiles. But, then he credited the theory to Saunders, who is one of the original "new perspective" theologians. So, apparently this is a foundational thought to the New Perspective folks.

I still like much of what Wright says, and will be posting more on that as well as on what I see are problems.

Even with his less-than-perfect perspectives, Wright has brought a number of theological discussions to the marketplace, a refreshing development.

NT does seem to be preoccupied with community.

Thanks for your thoughts. You have offered up to me (us) an insight on a popular and respected theologian that I did not have before.
